The V2_SAR_HY helmet is the Hydro IP67 variant of our standard V2_SAR model. It is designed for operators who work in water, in fact the helmet is waterproof and allows communications even in salt or fresh water. Equipped with water-repellent internal padding, all mechanical parts are made of AISI 316 steel. The helmet is equipped with a cable for connections with Polycon MP50 or Hytera IP67 radios. The V2_SAR_HY_H model with Polycon MP50 connector is compatible with multiple helicopters using the AD_19P-NATO accessory (AW139, AW169, AB412…), an adapter that allows the connection to the helicopter; this model is designed for operators who are airlifted in marine or aquatic environments. The operator can wear the helmet from the beginning of ground operations, connecting to the on-board ICS during the transfer to the helicopter. Once on target, the operator, by detaching from the on-board ICS, can directly connect the Polycon cable and continue operations in the water while always maintaining contact with the aircraft, both during the winching phases and during operations in the water. The V2_SAR_HY_T model with Hytera or Motorola connection is designed for ground operators who are not airlifted but who operate in flooded and/or river environments. The helmet is equipped with PTT on board the headset and a cable for direct connection to the radio.
